The lucky critter made it onto private property about 2 minutes before I got to it.....some would have persued it onto private land but not me. I never got a shot so it was not wounded, but if so I would make every effort to contact the landowner and try to retrieve it. Maybe he will show up on the adjoining property where I have permission to hunt.
