Lucky Coyote stand

I had a remote lake on my radar for a few years now but it was a long hike to get down in there. There has not been much snow in my area so far this year so I thought I would waste half a day hiking in and making a couple of stands. On the hike in I found a nice Mule deer skull, and then proceeded to shoot a breeding pair on the same stand.
Had to make two trips back with the dogs and the skull and I was feeling my age,but, a good day all in all.

Have found plenty of ungulate sheds and the occasional skull but thought this one was pretty cool.

Hiking is good exercise. Part of the reason I’ve taken up hunting.

I love day trips like that! Get some fresh air, disconnect from the BS, and connect with myself and with nature. Nice find on the deer skull and congrats on the double!
