Lug slotting the receiver M40A5 build

Hi , does anyone know who can do the Lug slotting the receiver for Badger Base M40A5 rail scope ?

There was another member here who had it done on his A5 clone, I think the name was BlackPatch? It was a place in Alberta and based on the photos all the machine work such as the thumb relief cut at the rear of the loading port etc was very detail accurate.

Do a search for that user name and look for photos of his A5. The shop name was visible on the tooling I think it was the action fixture in one photo, or just PM him as well.

I had mine done by the late Mick McPhee but it was a hybrid version I copied from LRI down in the US.

At first I wondered if this was a Q about a stripper clip slot cut into Rem 700, then I did some Goofle work and learned this base is more than just screwed on. It has lugs that engage reliefs in the top of the receiver. A ha!

Just remembered on those mounts the rear receiver bridge needs to be milled flat in addition to the cutting of slots. As others mentioned be sure to send your base with the action. And I’m sure they will upgrade to 8-40 screws at the same time.
