Could anybody give me the barrel thread dimentions for the Lugar P-08. They only think I know is its a whitworth (55 degree) type of thread.

The Germans were using all sorts of threads at various times. It could very well be a Whitworth or other 55 degree thread form, in a Metric pitch. They used inch sizes for some stuff too. They were fairly practical in that respect, not getting all tied in knots over all things having to be changed from one set of standards to another, as happened here in Canada when they tried to wave the magic wand and obliterate the imperial systems of measure.
From what I have read, the ISO standard for some stuff is still based on inch sized parts, just expressed in bastard sizes of metric dimensions.

Somewhere in my stuff I have some scans of a Luger blueprint. I'll try to find them.

55degree 20 t.p.i. from shoulder back .7475" out side diamater of threads.703" inside diamiter of threads .630" and and there is a .125" area on chamer end unthreaded. this is included in the .7475"

The picture I have shows the pitch as 1.27 mm, so 20 TPI. 55 Degree included angle, rounded crest and root Radius appears to read .175 mm.

18mm OD. 19mm long barrel stub (what fits into the receiver)from the shoulder, 2mm unthreaded, 14mm threaded, and 3mm at the chamber end, reduced to 16mm.

From a drawing titled (and I'll probably butcher this, it's in script) Selbstiade-Pistole Mod. 1904. Can't tell you what or how much was changed to get to the P08, but it seems to jive with what others are reporting.

Shoot me a PM with an email address and I'll fire it off into the aether in your general direction. Has pretty good detail of extractor groove etc.
