Luger Re-Barrel

My original Luger barrel is in poor internal condition.

If someone is planning to convert their Luger to Restricted, could we trade the short barrels?

May as well send the bad one to the smelter and let a good one live on.

No way.

I am thinking that if you are sending your Luger to a gunsmith to get a good 4" barrel replaced with a new 4.5" barrel, I could send mine to the same gunsmith to get the good take off barrel.

reason I ask is do you need a barrel wrench and if so are you making the wrench?

I have rebarrelled two Lugers.
Attempting the job without a wrench that fits the upper receiver properly is asking for a damaged receiver. The barrel vise will need bushings the fit the barrel; that is no biggie.
Luger barrels are in tight.
I have no idea if a barrel from one Luger will torque into another receiver, properly indexed.
Having both pistols go to the same 'smith would be the way to go.
