the 200grain scds is super accurate in my svt40 and I plan on taking that out for my bear outings, if I get something I will for sure let everyone how the bullets perform.

I went through a case of the LVE FMJ from westrife, and it was amazing stuff. I just bought the LVE SP from westrifle as well (now called SCDS). Looks like the same stuff but with s soft point. Hope it cycles well in the SVT. From the above posts it does. The MFS SP I found FTF every once in a blue moon.

I agree with the above. Great stuff. Not very dirty. I had a hard time deciding between this and MFS but id say that the LVE has the slight edge, even though the MFS ammo looks cooler.

Digging up bones on this thread! How did you guys find the soft points worked with your SVT-40?

I had mine out the other day and if i had 1 in the mag and 1 in the chamber it would usually feed the second round where it was more centered, but any time i had more than 1 round in the mag and it was lower/offset to the side more/held in tighter the soft lead would catch on the bottom rim of the chamber and stick there untill you pulled back the bolt and dropped the mag.

Westrifle, have you guys had any experience with the LVE soft points in SVT's? Would a different rifle/mag make any difference, or would filing the bottom of that sharp edge make any difference, or should i stay away from filing anything?

Fiddler. That is a beautiful laminate stock on your Mosin. I've yet to find one.

It looks like you need another mag that you can play with and modify the way you want. Your mag is probably not from this rifle. It was probably taken from some other rifle.

Thanks for the tip. I may have mixed the mags up. Next time i'll bring another with me to try.
