Lyman 57 on a left hand Rem 700?

I've done it before.
The hole for the peep disc must be threaded straight through so the disc can be screwed back in.
You will lose the use of the windage scale.
I should still have the proper tap in the bowels of my basement.

Also came across a Williams WGRS that fits the receiver scope holes may be a better option ? This is for hunting not target.

I'd go with the WGRS for a LH rifle. Nothing wrong with it for a RH either. They're also much less expensive than the Lyman, just not as refined or with the same ease of adjustments.
Ellwood Epps has them in stock for $50 for a 700 as well as other models.
