Lyman Borecam Digital Borescope With Monitor

This is waayy cheaper than a Hawkeye Borescope...

Has anyone tried this?
How do you like it?

• Scope fits 20 caliber and larger barrels
• 22" long rod
• Miniature digital camera technology

Lyman's new Borescope provides active shooters with the means to carefully inspect the bores of their firearms for wear, throat erosion, tool marks, and other rifling or chamber damage, as well as for checking for fouling. The scope will fit 20 caliber and larger barrels and works with miniature camera technology. The display will show a clear image of the inside of the barrel and also allows you to take a photo of the bore. The image will be stored on a standard SD card and can later be viewed on a computer or laptop.

I have one on back-order from the states.
It seems Lyman just started to ship so it'll be a couple of months until I get mine.

I've got an older optical and the digital Lyman.

The Lyman works well, it's a little difficult to pick up colour variations with it, but it certainly does the job as far as checking for scratches, throat erosion, land quality, and carbon build up.

they are on backorder at Cabelas.ca
and, really, $379.99???

They were last week. Yes $379.99 isn't terrible considering our dollar and plus shipping from the states is high, if you get it for $379 in store it's not that terrible IMHO

Mine will be here tuesday( just cleared customs). I got it from Sinclairs as they stand behind everything they sell....
I'll let you know in a week or so what I think...

$20.79 with postage from China. Amazon.ca
5.5mm diameter with 2m cable
1st test video

Waiting on a 7mm diameter version.

5.5mm came with a 45° mirror, but it screws onto the 7mm diameter, not the 5.5mm

yes, you have a point, them chinese cameras are as crappy as they can be.
get a lyman and compare: 10x magnification, great detail even at 320x200 pixels, 45º mirror that's 0.2" in diameter
