I ran across this video and started to think - could I reduce my case prep time using the Lee case length trimmer system?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULkmE79x5BU

I currently use a Forster case length trimmer and a WFT trimmer but the Forster is another step that is slower and the WFT isnt that easy to set the length plus I end up with brass filings all over the place.

I prep 223 lapua brass for target and a few calibers for hunting 3006, 375 etc
If the lee case trimmer system will produce the same accuracy I could just add this onto my Lyman case prep center process??

Any comments regarding the Lee case length trimmer system?
I know its not an expensive system but most of my target shooting isnt at a 1000 yards yet .... and Im always looking at ways to reduce my "basement reloading" time

WFT trimmer is the best I've found without going to a motorized unit that's very expensive.. but I agree trying to dial in the WFT is a pain.

I have the Hornady case prep center and it needs to be part of the final case length equation to get exact case lengths..

The length of the case can actually be a made sightly longer after cambering & camphering, so rechecks are necessary.

I always wondered what people use for their case prep... i have large number of .223 & .308 casings but I am not ready to drop $500 for Dillon trimmer.

The Lee trimmer can be quite accurate. I can't compare to the other systems but my measured brass is +/- 0.003". One comment on the video is that the Lee pilot that he is suing is clearly off center. I'd be concerned about introducing neck run-out.

One thing to watch for is wear on the tip of the Lee cutter pilot (the pointy bit that limits how much length gets trimmed). As this wears it will start reducing your case length. I haven't measured this and think that it would take thousands of rounds.
