Take the scale apart only at the portion with the buttons and touch pads and not in the scale - load cell area (only 6 screws). Make sure all connections are fully plugged in and if so wiggle them a little bit. I bought a Lyman 1200 DPS III brand new in the box. Plugged it in and it would only turn on. This was on a Sunday and I wanted to make some loads for the following Monday. I bought the last one and by the time I got home it was late. Shipping it to get fixed was out of the question. I did the above mentioned and presto - all good. I thought that I would post this just because of the replies I`ve received from my help posts on the Internet. They all said send it back.
