My hitherto reliable and accurate Lyman DPS III powder dispenser threw a shoe. I could not get it to calibrate after the warm up period. The screen was cycling meaningless numbers.

A quick net surf suggested using the little brush that comes with the unit along with canned air to clean under the silver powder tray - Voila! Problem solved.

Can't think what I'd do without that machine now. My mechanical measures seem so archaic.

The tray on my RCBS digital scale will lift off easily but the tray on my Lyman (an early model) wont lift, the op manual specifically says damage will be done to the machine if tray is removed.

the power supply calved in mine can't find another its an oddball 15v ac. the companies customer service sucks they don't stock replacement parts, the unit is 8 years old they offered me a replacement
unit at the same price i can get one on amazon. no thanks

If and when my DPS III dies, I'll happily replace it with a current version. I fried it once by using the wrong adapter and Lyman repaired it for free, sending me an extra adapter.
