Lyman E-zee Hand Priming Tool vs Hornady Shellholders

So, I learned the "hard" way that the Lyman hand priming tool doesn't work with the Hornady shellholders since these are thicker than the Lyman ones. This causes the primers to seat above the head surface.

I don't know about the other shellholders though (RCBS, Lee, etc.).

My lyman hand primer works with any shellholders, including hornady.

The first unit I got from cabelas was deficient. The large primer tray wouldn't load primers deep enough. Maybe you have the same problem with yours.

That must be the case since I ordered from Cabelas as well. I called Lyman and they are sending a new device. Excellent service from Lyman.
