Lyman Gen6 terrible product and worse customer support

I bought a Gen6 and it's working great so far. I would have bought the RCBS but it was twice the price.
My turbo tumbler 1200 has been going strong for 5 years now. On my 4th or 5th jug of media and I cut it half-and-half with untreated walnut so it lasts twice as long.

Lyman does seem to have flaky quality control on their items. As far as I've read a lot of their stuff is subcontracted and not manufactured by them directly so that could be the cause. I've only heard good things about their customer service from many sources but have never had to use it myself. Sucks that you had such a terrible experience with them.
 
I've had good experiences dealing with Lyman for warranty replacements. They are not fast to reply but they have always come through for me. Not quite at the same level as RCBS or LEE, but OK.
 
Dillon, the gold standard of service! Called to get a press arm replaced, they must pay a guy to sit by the phone all day. Very knowledgeable fellow, figured me all out and overnight express posted me 2 new arms, in case I ever had the problem again. Sent a little package of other various parts just in case as well! That is how you earn customers for life!
