Not sure if this is the correct place for this, but here goes.
I have a Marlin 1895 Cowboy in .45-70 and would like to purchase a tang-mounted peep sight for Hunting and Cowboy Side Matches. I'm looking at the Lyman No 2 Tang Sight for Marlins and have heard both that it does work and that it won't work on my rifle. Does anybody have one mounted or know if it will work? If not, is there another brand or model that will work with my Marlin 1895 Cowboy?
