Lyman primer pocker reamer

Just bought one. It sucks. The first piece of brass seemed to ream ok. Went to do the second one it was already not cutting. Had a good look at it and at first I thought it the edges were filled with brass. Nope the thing is stirped out. I tried to prime the first piece and sure enough, it isnt big enough for the primer. What a piece of crap. Almost though I went shopping at princess auto for tooling of something. I also bought a lyman chamfer tool. That one works awesome. Nicer to have a handle instead of using the rcbs inner outer tool.

Odd. I've got the Lyman VLD chamfering tool and the Lyman Primer Pocket uniforming tool. Both are great. I think you just got a lemon.

my lyman pocket reamer has done over a thousan brass. still works good. i don't use the handle its on my rcbs prep centre. power driven its very quick to do a batch. i think you got a bad one.

Yup... 'best reloading accessory I've ever bought.
'Swaged 1000's of pieces of LC brass with no problem.

Reaming removes material.. Swaging with the 600 rolls you a nice smooth even, consistant pocket.

I might have to see if P+D has them. I dont have about 200 rounds of PMC brass that will have to be done.

I have the K&M Precision version and it is excellent... Actually all there tools are Excellent...
