Lynx GM6

You will have to deal with T.I..... I️ believe user “45acpking” has stated that he shares one with some other nutz. He may have some insight

It’s expensive! There are other options! But the cool factor is there!

What would be another viable option?...I would like a semi along with not having a trashed shoulder after going through 50 rounds.

Thanks for that!

Thanks for that info. I've dealt with TI a fair bit and apart from hit and miss communication I've been very happy with them.

a friend of mine picked up a gm6 lynx after the 3 of us agreed to throw in on it. Ended up that 4 of us split it and the reloading gear 4 ways. It usually spends it's time between my place and my friend in edson. I've put maybe 100 rounds down range out to about 700 yards. The long range shots were at basket ball and bigger sized pumpkins and we decided more $$ need to be spent on optics to really take it out much past 500. We've had no FTF or FTE and the firearm itself has been totally perfect. The coolest thing is shoulder firing this thing LOL I have troubles doing it because I'm smallish and have major lower back/pelvis issues so I can't hit fak all with it shoulder fired just because it's heavy for me.
If a guy has the cake to play in the 20,000 grand range for rifle and reloading gear, I'd say HELL YES ;)

That dollar figure was in line with all the reading that I've done. Just to confirm, did it come with 34mm rings?

Honestly the Lynx is one of the coolest nr guns I've gotten to play with. The fit and finish is immaculate, very fine machining, and a very well thought out system. Recoil is incredibly mild, and given the improved balance over a traditional setup it's actually manageable to shoot offhand.

The operating system is sweet too. It runs totally on recoil, so no gas. I haven't pulled apart one dirty yet, but would guess they stay pretty clean. Taking it down is pretty simple too. Instructions aren't the best, especially for the bolt, which is rather complex, but once you figure it out it's easily repeatable.

The loadout from TI is pretty great too. Spare recoil spring, 2nd mag (most quality mags I've ever seen) cleaning rod/brush, little tool for removing the muzzle brake (only tool required in takedown is a hex head to spin a locking pin 180 degrees) bipod, peli case, instructions and 34mm rings.

I'll try to get a video up before the new year with operation, overview, firing and complete takedown etc. I've played with a Serbu 50a as well. It has a much simpler system and it's still a great option, but there's a noticeable difference between the two. You get what you pay for with a Lynx, not that you don't with a Serbu, but the Serbu is no frills and straight to the point. Still bad@ss, but more economical whereas the Lynx is more of a spare no expense 'supercar' of guns. TI has awesome pics, but unfortunately pics just don't do it justice. I was blown away the first time I saw it in person.

I didn't think to take a pic of it compressed (the barrel is retained to the chassis when fully retracted) but it looks slick and is super compact. The 37mm launcher on there was just for fun.

Hope this helps. If it wasn't already clear, I'd highly recommend it.

Cheers
