Lynx scope rings

they're crap

Russells sent my friend some as a alternative to an out-of-stock Zee Ring he ordered. Similar price...

the screw in the ring wouldnt even bite the thread and one of the crossslots was messed and we couldnt get the ring on the Weaver base.

they were returned, and sent was the proper Burris Zee rings

garbage mounts in my humble opinion

Pretty simular to what happen with the Zee Rings I ordered then.:(

Don't know for what rifle but here is my experience:

I think they are made in china for B-Square under the name of Lynx. I had them on my Brno Zkk. They are absolute crap. I never could adjust the rifle correctly. I almost sold the rifle but discovered a problem with these rings (rings were moving).

I tighted and Loctited them but they broke in half.

I spent 300-400 rounds to sight this rifle with no success.

Go Burris. It is one of the best ring company.

I'm a huge fan of the Burris "Z" rings [used with Weaver bases]. Before I discovered them I used steel Tasco World Class rings [for Weaver bases] that were made in Australia. It is my understanding that B-Square is using the same tooling to make their "Lynx" rings. [The Tasco WC rings are no longer produced under the Tasco name]. The early Lynx rings I tried out were the same quality as the previousTasco World Class rings. That is "excellent" and worked well.

It would seem there is a quality control issue with recent "Lynx" rings, though. Seems to be "hit & miss". I bought a pair [matte, medium] from my local shop about 1-2 months ago. One of the cross-bolts stripped when I was tightening it up with minimal force & then wouldn't work at all. I took the set back & exchanged them for a new set that worked just fine, as in my previous sets. So, it's not a problem if you can readily exchange them locally but a "pain in the butt" if you obtain them via mail-order, especially if you wanted to get them on a rifle to try out right away.

However, given the choice for similar cost I think I'd take the Burris "Z" rings over the "Lynx" rings. I am always on the hunt at gunshows for those older Tasco World Class rings, though. ;) [But I believe they only came in 'gloss' blue].
