I was. Wondering if anyone knew what is up with the M-1 Carbine folding stock rifles. I got an email from SFRC late this afternoon about a sale on these for @ &350 and went directly to the site to find they are out of stock! I asked about it in the thanksgiving thread and another guy said there were 40 when he looked and then our remarks were quickly removed! Maybe I shouldn't have asked on his sale thread but didn't think the question warranted a new thread. Well either way, does anyone know of any other sponsor with these rifles on sale? I think it said they were from Israel!?!
Cheers Bob

Yep quite a few were imported from Israel. I bought one on EE months ago and thought I got a deal at $450. I was working nights so I went to have a nap before work when the e-mail was sent out . SFRC sold the remainder of his stock in 30 minutes. So it is true Snooze and you lose. I would of bought at least two had I been awake. Other dealers had them . think Marstar still does but not at $350

Got the email, followed the link. It showed 44 in stock. Thought to myself, I’ll just wait till the next sale. There’ll probably be some left. Researched reloading components online, had a coffee, went back to sfrc, sold out! Lol. Being restricted blew it for me, otherwise I’d have ordered it on the spot.

I was lucky enough to snag one. Wish there was a chance for some Israeli stamping on them.

With the Choate stock they’re not exactly the prettiest M1 carbines, but it’s a cool piece and another caliber to have in the safe.

Sadly it seems most of the mags have dried up, even the questionable KCI units

I stayed away from the Israeli guns because I have seen some that were close to garbage and SFRC has sent me garbage labeled as surplus before. At $350 though I'd have taken the chance...

Yes, even so, and the turd looking to swipe more of our guns I would buy one at that price, maybe there are replacement stocks for them, even fixed stocks which would make them non restricted wouldn't it!?

Ha, yep been burned by them before too but still a sucker for a deal and to be honest the price usually reflected the condition in my cases anyway, so if more came up I would be in for a couple for sure!

No they are restricted due to Barrel length 18" fixed or folding stock its still restricted with original barrel

Not sure if it's just a rumour but I have heard more than once that 18.5" was chosen specifically to encompass the M1 Carbine.

also heard this they were flooding the Canadian market were cheap and the m2 parts were readily available so they made them restricted so they would know where they were

I saw the email too, but was also too late. I'd grab one for $350! I have seen some on EE for $500 range. They are $550 at retailers. IF Anyone has one, & replaces their stock, I would like to buy that Choate' stock off you, plz let me know. Thnx Would have been worth buying several @ $350, just to 'make' them into NR, & take them out of the Restricted/Registered category. At that price, it would be very worth it.
