M-1 carbine folding stock

Just FYI for those wondering about the $350 sponsor deal, mine came today. I see why they did the deal. So long as it shoots ok, I’ll be happy. I can only imagine how many rounds this has seen. It’s an Inland manufactured in 1944 (at least the receiver is).

Got the email, followed the link. It showed 44 in stock. Thought to myself, I’ll just wait till the next sale. There’ll probably be some left. Researched reloading components online, had a coffee, went back to sfrc, sold out! Lol. Being restricted blew it for me, otherwise I’d have ordered it on the spot.

Same here. Not interested in restricted. I had one before with a muzzle welded on but later found out they changed the regulations on that, so I returned it.

Looks about what I figured, clean her up good and replace a spring or two, off you go!
It would hold one of the special spots in the gunroom!

Got mine today. In typical fashion i bought it 3 days before the sale. Looks identical to the one above minus sling.
Paul, could i ask you how yours looks rifling wise? Mine looks pretty faint, but I'll take it out to the range and see.

Thanks

while stripping/cleaning a word of advice DO NOT attempt to remove the gas piston nut unless you have the correct tool you will wreck the nut if the piston moves freely there is no reason to remove it it is usually staked on as well

also the spring guide rod is a tool and fits the trigger housing pins when removing/installing

Has anyone else received theirs and if so could you comment on your purchase, I still like the look and history, just wondering about average condition. One of those ( "if these rifles could talk " ).
Cheers Bob
