M-14/M-305 Mount

I am about to get a used scope mount for my M-14(for a reasonable price), however the large screw is missing. Can something be improvised? Is it worth going thru the trouble?

Give Marstar a call. They sell the scope mounts. They may have some spare parts hanging around.

The screw is an odd-ball thread, so I don't think you'll find something in Home Depot to replace it.

A machine shop can spin any thread you need on an existing bolt. I had some built for a scope mount for my SKS to match a tap that I had. Costed me all of $10 to have done.
