OK, I 've mounted a few scopes on rimfire rifles, but found out that I definately suck at mounting anything serious.
Material :
- M-14 rifle (Norinco reciever, not much more norinco left in it aside that)
- ARMS #18 mount
- Burris Zee Rings
- Bushnell 4200 6-24X40mm
Problem :
I know that at short range (50 yards) bullets will hit 1 or 2 inches lower than the aimed point due to the gap between the bore and the center of the scope. But in my case, I'm shooting 10-12 inches low at 40 yards, and it's even worse at 50, plus the scope is at max elevation. The problem isn't the rifle nor the ammunition since I've been shooting sub-inch groups at 50 with the same reloaded ammunition and iron sights.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
