Has anyone seen the Remington M-24? I have been looking long and hard at it on there website, wondering if anyone knows the price on this rifle? I expect it to be very costly.

Heard this through the grapevine...Only a few should be coming in to Canada & the price range should be at around $7500-$8500. I can assure you, they will be gone when they hit the shelves.

It lists at $4158.90 USD, retail, for the rifle alone. The whole kit lists at $8197.50 USD without a scope. $9712.50 USD with a Leupold scope.
It's just a custom M700. I'd guess that you could have a custom made M700 built for you for a whole lot less.

I inquired before, It was only available to military/police. also around the 6000$ mark.

The closest in real life I have seen in Canada is the Armament Technology AT1-M24. And it is heavy.

For the money of the Remi M24, you might as well go with something custom made by PGW.

Would be Cheaper to buy a McMillan MRCT Tactical than buying from PGW:eek: and they are an extremely well built rifle

Armament Technologies made Great rifles and the Company was Canadian as well, out of Nova Scotia. No matter what i try i can not post a pick of his rifle.
Here is a write up about the rifle.

sorry the picture in the article does not do it justice. I was fortunate to have him build me a rifle and i have nothing but good things to say about it.

There are makers that can make a comparable rifle using a Remington 700 action. PGW, Alberta Tactial, Guntec. The big guys in the US are GA precision, Iron Brigade and Robar arms. There are countless others but all of the above get decent press.

You can get by with a factory Remington (rifle only) by purchasing the PSS or LTR. And both of them should be less the $1500 cdn.

Andy Webber's AT1-M24 could out shoot and M24 on any given day. Now what I would suggest, is contact ATR or PGW and have them build you a copy. The M24 is base on the 40X action built one at a time in the Custom Shop at Remington in Illion, NY. If you can find one, buy an 40X, and replace the stock with the correct HS stock which is available thorugh most rifle builders in Canada. I know it can be had through Brwonells and Rick at ATR has export licensces already set up. Give him a call first, he can built you a perfect copy, with the base rings scope and open sight mounts aswell.

M40A3 vs M24

Here in the land of the free (well, at least fairly inexpensive, :) ) the USMC style clones seem to win out for some reason. McMillans A-4 stock with Badger Bottom Metal is a super combination when teamed with the appropriate match grade barrels. My particular one currently has the U.S. Optics "Canadian Horus H-25" lit reticle scope.

A real charmer and you can add features over time so the US$ price of $6K doesn't hit you all at once. You can add Jewell trigger, bolt mods, rings, base, etc as your budget will allow. All you need is the aquaintance of a competent rifle smith.

Here is how it looked when I took delivery several years ago. Shown with M40 scope.

Armament Technology used to have their ATI rifle advertised on their website but now have very little advertised. I thought they stopped making and selling them. What does one go for in Canada? Thanks for any info.

They no longer make them. they stopped producing them several years ago. He is now entirely optics related. Back when you could get them they would run around $5000 $6,000cdn

I wonder why they stopped making them? Lack of sales? The reviews I have read about their rifle were quite good. I guess they will be collectible and increase in value for those that own one.
