M-305 scope mount issues?

I had to re-install my brother-in-laws scope mount today. (don't ask )

While trying to install the Leapers mount that he got in the Max Pack, I discovered the SOB was pointing to the left. I took it off again to make sure it wasn't just poorly installed.

1) The groove on the mount mates up fine with the matching groove on the gun.

2) The wedge in the stripper clip guide is loose enough to move into position, then locks solidly with the screw.

I had a problem like that on one of my M305s. It wasn't just the scope mount, the iron sights had to be cranked to the side for it to shoot straight too. I bought another M305 and it's okay. Unfortunately it looks as though some M305s have geometry problems or something. My "crooked" M305 shoots fine with iron sights aside from the fact that the rear sight is off to the side.

sounds like the barrel is out of index[front site slot not parallel to the receiver]check scullboys sticky on rebarreling.it explains indexing the barrel to the receiver.
