I was talking to an older collector at my range this past weekend! He said he heard we may have some M38's coming down the pipe. Anyone hear the same story?

Price of Carcanos going up THAT fast?

I was looking at a heap of M38s just the other day. TS rifles, they were, 2 in 6,5x52, 1 in 7,92x57. WISH there had been a 7,35!

Or is there some OTHER M38?

There is also the Mosin Nagant M38

It's funny how we get conditionned - my immediate thought was the Swedish M38. The Mosin would have been second, and the Carcano (the one with the most variations), third.

I immediately thought of the Swedish M38's then Carcano M38 and then I went ahha it might be the russian M38

also Smellie since when did you get a wifi connection in the sock closet I thought twostream had cut you off from the laptop :)

Only ones i know of russian wise were coming through a two year(a person who got one from the extremely limited shipment said) wait for a mosin m38 shipment of like 30 from westrifle. Said to expect 500+ $ for one before taxes. I attempted to get on the list back in like feb or march, i dont think i even came close to making the cut. Fortune would have it that i found a immaculate one recently for half the price. So either keep hunting for them or get on a pre order somewhere (if there will be anymore). They are out there lol.

And like everyones said, not sure what m38.
If its not the russian m38 then disregard my post lol. Hope you find what your looking for.

I have a Russian M38 from Westrifle, stuck in the back of a Canpar truck somewhere waiting to be delivered. Always a problem when living just outside the city.

Al mentioned that there were over 160 people still on the waiting list for M38s and M44s, but he didn't say how many other rifles he had on the way.

I was also in for one of each. I found a very minty all matching M44 in the mean time and there is no way I'm paying $625.00 + tax ($706.00 with tax for a very good condition refurb M38 to ON.). What happened to the "Museum Quality" that they were supposed to be in?

My M38 from Westrifle showed up this afternoon. Other than small crate kisses and one very small repair to the forestock, its just short of perfect. Its pretty greasy right now and hopefully get time by the weekend to clean it up and get some decent pics. I forgot how light and easy to handle these rifles are.
