I am pretty happy with mine. It is a long travel but also pretty light for a service rifle. I am sure that it will smooth up even more as the rifle gets broken in. Fun little rifles!

the nagants were designed with a long trigger pull. Why because they are not target rifles, training and doctrine at the time was for instintive shooting.

Up Bang

accuracy required was minute of man

none of the breath pause squeeze Bang because the enemy was using the instinctive shooting technique, so if your going to be screwing around pausing your dead.

sniping was different, it involved hiding so the enemy did'nt see you, thus giving you time to breath pause squeeze, without getting your head blown off.

But back to the triggers on nagants,

Mine are all fine, long pull, but you learn to feal when you are at the break point.

I love most of my MN's triggers. They have a very instinctive pull, mind you my first "real" gun was a M91. For the most part, I know exactly when they're going to break, and appreciate the predictability. I have 4 mosins now, and they all have thier own quirks and personalities though...
