I was wondering if anyone else uses them to size 308 cases. When I have to FL size some cases, I use a FL sizer without the expander, so, no inside lubing of case mouth, no stretching , no #####ing!!! then I run my 30L M die tru the cases. I'm in no hurry and this way everything goes smooth
I'm also doing some testing ( again) with my 31L M die in some NS cases. What I do is , neck size my Lapua 308 cases , run the 31L die tru them, which opens the mouth with just enough tension to hold the bullet in place , I leave the bullet maybe .020 over OAL and let the bolt seat the bullet into the lands. The bullet is easy to push in, I can do it with my fingers. I've done the test before but can't remember the results, now that I've found a really good load for my Savage using 178 A-Max & Varget I want to see if I can improve on the results.
