Wondering can I have the stock barrel cut and recrowned to a PDW length? Or does that make it a prohib?

What about using the MP 15/22 pistol barrel and handguard?

Unfortunately it is not mine, just a pic grabbed off the internet. I would love to be able to buy a pistol upper (like in the pic) to install on my 15-22.

buy the colt pdw. it has a very short barrel, but not as accurate as the s/w

Unfortunately reducing a rifle barrel's length to any length below 18" (even if its original length was below 18") does make it a prohib. Manufactured barrels may come in any lengths.
