M&P 2.0 Range and Carry kit availability?

Hey everyone , Ive been looking around for options on my first hand gun and I think I have settled on the Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0. Talking to my local gun store employees its become apparent that buying an M&P9 in a range kit is a much better value ,especially taking into consideration i would like to eventually shoot 3 gun competitions. The problem being that I much prefer the M&P 2.0 over the original , mostly due to my tendency to get really sweaty palms when I shoot. Does anyone know when the range kit for the 2.0 will become widely available here in Canada? So I can decide if its worth the wait or if I should just pick up an M&P9 range kit and maybe upgrade to the 2.0 later on and sell the original in the EE.
 
Getting the pistol you want is more important than getting the range kit. Even with a range kit, you'd quickly find that you want a different (better) holster, magazine pouches, and carry case.

I say buy the gun you really want.
 
For competitions you will want a better pistol than the M&P.
Shadow 1 used would be recomendation and then buy the parts needed for competitions separately
Will cost slightly more likely but you'll have a solid pistol
 
Thanks for the input guys! At the risk of being crucified for saying this , I have shot the CZ shadow (of a buddies) and i wasnt a big fan of it! Competition is a while off yet and maybe as i progress i will like the CZ's , but as for now the pleasing grip and lower cost of the M&P is more up my alley as a new shooter.
 
Soley Canadian arguably makes one of the best holsters out there and their mag holders are very good as well. Good choice on the M&P Gen 2. It will do everything you want it to do, including 3 Gun Competitions.

I have a 2.0 in 40cal it’s a great gun for the price , the only draw back of the gun I’ve found is the trigger , but I’m pounding the rounds through it and the groups are tightening up, it’s lots of fun to shoot for sure. I also changed the sights to a better , hi viz set

Was yours shooting really low with the original sights?
 
Truly though buy what you like. My first pistol was a Tokarev...

You may want to look at getting a Glock 9mm. You can consider the pistol as a inexpensive pack in with the magazines your going to want for the FX-9 Freedom Carbine you'll want to order once you Google search what it.
