M&P 40 Conversion to .357 Sig

Does anybody know if converting a 40 cal M&P to .357 sig is as easy as swapping the barrel and possibly the spring?

Aren't the rest of the parts identical?

if the barrels were availabe it would've bene thet easy...S&W isn't making .357sig M&P's yet.

If available, it would be as simple as changing the barrel, the .40 magazines could be used. I would keep my eye on Bar-Sto, they make .357 barrels for some popular autos. They don't have the S&W listed at this time, perhaps an email would be in order...

I'm reading elsewhere on the net that the M&P Sig is now being shipped.

First production is going to police and other agencies.

General retail soon.

True, the .40 mags are also co stamped 357 sig, so a conversion may be simple thing...but ammo!... .40 is bad enough to find at a reasonable cost these days.

One of the well known reloaders, Wolf, BDX or from BC.
