I just bought myself an m&p and it came with 3 different sized grips (small, medium, large). I've looked around for extra small but I can't seem to find any. I've heard of people sanding it down to make it smaller, does anybody have any experience with this or ideas?

Look into grip stippling (Google is yer bud). You can sand it down then stipple it with a soldering iron. I picked up a cordless one from Home Depot for $25.

If you're looking to simply make the grip tiny, I've seen one in the US that had the insert removed, and then had the area where the insert goes filled in with polymer. There's not much contour to it, it's not reversible, but it is very small. There are no "extra small" inserts made, for the vast majority of people with small hands the small insert works well. Don't forget to shoot the gun with all of the inserts, sometimes "feels good" works bad.

Yup.... been there done that. Went full circle from stock to ultra thin back to stock. Need to figure out how to shoot before condemning the grips.

My wife has small hands, but prefers to shoot my M&P40 with the largest grip. Before she shot it she tried all the grips and thought the small ones would work for her. She shot one mag all over the target. I put on the big grips and she shot a 3" group.
I've got big banana hands so the big grips are what I prefer.
