Curious - is yours broken? How many rounds through the gun?

Low mileage gun that I just picked up, I am getting light strikes 30 % of the time and firing pin looks like it is denting the primer rather than a clean "poke"

If the striker profile is not unusual, I'd look at something other than the striker itself. Perhaps someone lighted the striker spring in an effort to get a better trigger pull??

Thanks, I am going to take a good look at the striker assembly and slide tube to ensure that nothing is hanging it up, just looked a bit weird at the range last night when I was testing, didn't look like a clean pin point strike. The rounds fired fine in the other 2 guns I had with me so doubt it is the primers (CCI, never gave me any trouble before)

Check the firing pin channel for debris.

It'll pretty much always be a little teardrop in shape. It's normal due to the way the m&p is designed.
