M&P 9mm 17 rd magazines in Canada?

I've been looking for coming up on 3 years, let me know if you find any, in the meantime if you can find any regular 10 rounders, buy them - Smith has dropped the ball bigtime on their parts supplies, largely because they keep getting large orders for pistols and diverting runs of parts to complete pistols.

Out of curiosity....why would one crave 17 rounders pinned to 10 if you can just get the regular 10 rounders?

Usually the full capacity magazine is easier to reload than the 10 round ones as the spring is not completely compressed with the 10th rounds. My G17 10 rounds mags are a ##### to load 10 rounds into, but the 17/10 is a lot easier.

That tenth round goes into the 17's like butter. And the thought of being able to load more than ten should the gun laws actually start to make sense (yeah right)

but...don't they "look" the same? whats the big difference?

The ten round mags have this mickey mouse extended plastic baseplate/dummy mag thing going on.

They are fragile, and the stupid fragile base thing is apparently irreplaceable.

These are something that no one would buy if there was a choice.

Pinned magazines also tend to be more durable and reliable than the purpose-built 10 rounders.

Enefgee's post about S&W backlogs doesn't fill me with happiness:(.
So which dealer do we bug about this?
Could said dealer also bring in Apex Tactical? Or give me an example of why not? (Example: Small order= basically retail, plus hassle means FSS retails for 257.94 Canadian? Plus 12%HST? Did I just answer my own question? I hope not...)
I assume someone out there is working on this, any sponsors care to chime in?
How about if I start a poll, would that get noticed?

For handguns it's got zero to do with looks and everything to do with what FAQMAT posted.

I've got one pinned mag for my CZ's and it's a breeze to load in the 9th and 10th rounds compared to the 10 round cap mags.

And anyone with a Glock will tell you what a biatch it is to load the last two rounds in a 10 round Glock mag. You darn near need "The Jaws Of Life".

17's are easier to load, more durable and in many cases more reliable than the massive baseplate abortions (M&P 10 rounders work fine, unless you break them, and will load properly if you use an Uplula).

Oh yeah and if the SHTF..........
