From what I've read, the Apex sear (?) kit will fit either M&P model.... here is my question: will Brownells ship this kit to Canada, there is almost $100 difference in price vs the Canadian vendor I found..... and interested since there was a recent post here about the limits being upped from $100 to $500 in cross border forgiveness

I'm new at all this still, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, we all learn from mistakes.

Is this the kit you're talking about:

h ttp://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/trigger-group-parts/triggers/s-w-m-p-forward-set-sear-trigger-kit-prod45404.aspx?avs|Make~~Model_1=Smith%20&%20Wesson__M&P

Um...depends. If you have a brand new (or new sear block) M&P then one DCAEK kit SHOULD fit both. If you have an older M&P 9/45 there is a seperate kit for each. You might want to fire Apex an email (they're very good with inquiries) and ask them about the new sear block to see which sear to order - or check on their website. If you're looking at the FSST (forward set sear and trigger) I have no knowledge of what works where. Last time I ordered stuff from Brownells, $100 was still the limit (last month).

Oh okay that must not be for the FSST I was looking at, it's $165.

Mine should get here Monday from brownells. As of 3 weeks ago or so I had to do the paperwork. It was pretty easy with the tutorial sticky in the legalese section and Sandy at brownells (international rep) is super helpful with what needs to be done. CSTS does carry it but its $224, well worth dealing with brownells for the savings. I got the FSST and a failure resistant extractor shipped priority parcel for less.

Csts stocks apex kits, no need to worry about shipping etc......

Just FYI.

Fighting Irish, thats actually the one I was looking at as well.... and I purchased both my M&Ps in past 4 months so I`d assume they are newer (someone else mentioned this).....

exactly.... I don't mind keeping my $$ local, but after taxes and shipping thats a huge discrepancy..... $100 buys a few days of 9mm shootin' fun.....just sayin.....
