Just to hopefully kill this crap dead, I have offered to "loan" - no I don't want it back-a new striker assembly to the gentleman with the striker issue, all he needed to do was PM his info. Hell, I'll drive it out to Murray (Charlton) myself and tell him who the striker is for, (Murray's shop is just down the road from me) in the event Murray has the gun. This offer was made within days of said pistols striker failing (within hours of the initial post being made). Some people you just can't reach.:rolleyes: Incidently, I told several others who wanted to buy the striker, that it is not for sale, and it remains not for sale.
 
Well I took the M&P 9 to the range tonight and tried to sight it in. It fires about 3 inches left at 25 yards. I drifted the front sight a bit and the MPI came within about 2.5 inches. Next time I go out I will bring something to adjust the rear sight instead.

The guy beside me on the range let me fire his new Para .45 ACP and I had a good, tight grouping. But when I fired my 9 it was a messy bag o poo. Is accuracy a known weakness in these pistols that I can work on? Mechanically, I am another set of problems.

It's probably you and not the sights.

Like I said earlier. But with the .45 I had good groups and with the Browning HP 9mm I had good groups. It was just when I moved to the M&P they spread out.

You can't compare your success with single action triggers to your experience with your new spongy-trigger, striker-fired M&P.

M.D. Charlton replaced the broken striker and has returned the pistol today (Oct.2nd).

Strikers from both Brownells and Smith & Wesson arrived yesterday.

Enefgee: if I owe you a striker, all you need to do is PM your info and I'll replace it.
