M&P sear reset failures with Apex FSST kit

Upgraded the sear housing block and still having failures to reset. Almost one per mag today. Something is not adjusted correctly, but I am at a loss as to what that might be.

Open to suggestions. And ya, ditching the gun has crossed my mind.

Well it has nothing to do with the gun. I would re-install all the FACTORY parts then start over. Make sure you have all the FSS parts and not a mix of the two. The re-install the FSS kit using all the parts APEX sent you. Sounds to me you have mixed some of the parts. The FSS kit does work fine in my gun and has not has a failure to reset in over 1500+ rounds. You can also phone Randy at Apex. I am sure he can help you as well.

I assume you replaced the sear and the sear spring with Apex parts. Did you also replace the USB and spring along with the trigger return spring? The reason I ask as the FSS trigger will not work with the stock Sear and Soring. The kit comes woith both the new and old style Sear Spring.

The progression was as follows:

Factory to Competition AEK, then added AEK trigger, then replaced every thing with FSSTK less upgraded sear housing block, then added new housing block with FSSTK sear and sear sping. I was very carefull to replace each part with it's replacement part. Sold the Comp AEK and AEK trigger to a fellow GN and have received no complaints. I still have all of the original parts, sear, springs, trigger, etc in a bag marked Factory M&P.

Then go back and install all the factory parts. Test the gun. No failures then re-install the kit. I suspect you have the wrong sear in the gun now but that is just a guess. Failing thys suggestion contact Randy at Apex.

Adjusted the sear cam? (candy cane shaped thingy) to allow more cleareance for the sear to reset. Ran 100 rounds thru her today, and not a single failure.

Pheew, I'm glad to get that issue behind me. Ready for Steel 2013 now.

The goodies you sold me still work great. Glad you got it functioning properly now.
