M&P9 Magazine Issue?

Hi Folks - Any idea why the action won't stay open on the last shot with 2 of the 3 magazines supplied with my range kit?
The kit is practically new as I only took it to the club twice.

Did anyone hear of this issue before?

Be absolutely certain the magazine is fully seated in the firearm. Mine did that a few times until I started reloading and smacking it with my palm.

Sometimes your grip may allow the thumb to depress the slide lock, does it do it consistently with the same 2 mags?

yes, both and always.

Could be bad followers - check the way the follower engages the slide stop, correct if necessary.
