does anyone know anything about buffalo arms barrels,I just came across a m1 garand barrel marked D-35448-13-ba I purchased it a long time ago and found it cleaning out my garage. Its in nice shape and I know they made replacment barrels during WW2.There is also R93 stamped on the barrel

I downloaded this from Culver's shooting Page:

"Buffalo Arms Corp

Buffalo Arms manufactured replacement barrels for the M1 Rifle with the following revisions:

D-35448-13- BA D-35448-19-BA D-35448-22-BA these are WW2 revision numbers

Most of these barrels have the F.J.A. stamp and the flaming bomb stamp

Chrome plated gas port area did not start until after WW2, but sometimes barrels were salvaged during war production by chrome in the area around the gas port ."

R 93 might be a Buffalo Arms code or other wartime code. Sounds like you have a WW2 replacement M1 barrel

They were also a supplier of M1 carbine barrels for National Postal Meter and Quality Hardware, which manufactured M1 carbines for the US military in WW2.
