M1 Carbine Band Retaining Spring

Broke the band retaining spring on my AO M1 Carbine. Have not found any places that will ship to Canada yet that are not gouging for shipping. Numerich has them and will ship to Canada but was something like $41 for shipping (the spring is like a $5 to $10 part...). Brownell's does not stock them and Marstar is out of stock.

Any suggestions where I can get one that is not gouging on shipping?

The M1 Carbine is on the U.S. government's restricted for export list. It not under warrantee from AO? Just curious.

I spoke to AO's support group and they advised that it was no longer under warranty. Supposedly they looked up the serial number.
