Hi there,
I was wondering whether the M1 Carbine beyonette mount is part of the barrel, part of the stock band (or clamp, forget what it's called) or a seperate peice, that attaches to something else.

Basically, I have an M1 carbine coming in that doesn't have one, and I was wondering if i'd just be able to find one and affix it?

thanks for any help, and sorry if this post is a bit unclear.

ok i figured out that it is a different barrel band with the lug being part of it..

I guess the question now is: does anyone here have one, or do you think i'll find one at Ellwood Epps?

If your carbine is non-restricted, you will not be able to mount a bayonet. The barrel will be too long.

if it IS restricted DO NOT i repeat DO NOT remove a band without a bayo lug they are rare the us gov ordered all of them upgraded to bayolug bands so your got missed keep it that way thats the way it left the factory
more then likely you will wreck the front sight removeing it too
whats the make and serial? dont need last 2 #'s pm it to me and i can tell you what its supposed to have

well.
oops yeah the length.. didnt think of that.

Well, so that one is out..
I also have a Bavarian Police converted one by Postal Meter, push button safety..
I dont think I'd be doing anything to that one..
oh well, I guess I won't worry about bayo stuff with either :) haha

thanks
