Can anyone recommend some decent online sources? Looked at a lot of US based webpages, but could really use some good advise.

Thanks

Try TradeEX or Marstar first.

Northridge Int. out of the US has parts, some they can ship and some they cannot.

they CANNOT ship ANY m1 carbine parts out of the usa with out an enduser cert

the M1 carbine is on the list of NON export without end user certs

so NO m1 carbine parts from the us (legally)

As above, try Canadians first, then Numrich in US, up to 200 dollar limit and depends on parts needed, some they can send, some they cant, they will let you know..end user cert is relatively painless, did it once to get repaired laser sent back and was interesting paper chase, don't believe all info here and do research, according to contact148 i shouldn't have got my M1 spring kit from them....

No you should NOT have got the spring kit all us carbine parts require an enduser cert

Reviving an old thread but maybe things changed? I just received an M2 mag catch I ordered from Northridge. Didn't need any end user certificate etc. Might be new rules now that exports have shifted ot the commerce department?

yes this thread is almost 10 years old....

some parts are still restricted technically they should not have shipped any parts for the M2 as parts for FA's are not exportable that's the problem with the m1 carbine 99% of the parts except the specific FA parts work on the M1 and the M2 so to err on the side of caution most wont ship any m1 carbine parts

Perhaps I got lucky or maybe there's a list of ok parts now? It took several weeks before it shipped which I assumed was to get the proper export permit but I was never asked for anything from my end. Either way, it fixed the issues I had with magazines staying in (both 30 and 15 round ones wouldn't lock in securely and would drop out after the first shot). Hope I can get replacement springs or other parts if and when I need them too as they seem sparse in Canada.
