M1 Carbine "pistol" mags

Are M1 Carbine magazines limited to 5 rounds only, or are there 10 round "pistol" mags like the LAR-15 mags?

.30carbine nope. But The chiappa m1-22 comes with a ten rounders.

there were a couple manufactured that made a pistol in 30 carbine but the angle of the mag I do not think would allow insertion into a rifle without signifiacnt mods

Brutal, would love to have the .30 Carbine classed as a pistol. Shame when you cant use these beauties to full potential.
