M1 Carbine problems

My M1 would'nt reload. So I took it apart and found that the plunger that the action on return had fallen out I'm not quite sure how its suppose to go back. Does anyone know a good gun smith in Kamloops.

Do you have a M1. I just love mine. The part I had backwards was the piston. It fell out and jamed the action in the rear. I hope this fixes it. Do you know how that nut would have come loose? Thanks again. You saved me a few bucks, I'm knew to this site and I love it.

I have an unrestricted Iver-Johnson. Neat little plaything.

Usually the piston nuts are in pretty tight. Do you have a wrench? If not, that may be part of the problem, I think you need the proper wrench to install it tight enough. If you don't have one, post in the equip exchange, I bought mine here.

I was firing it tonight and then it happend. So when I took it apart They both fell out. I guess I'll just put it back in and hope for the best.

You nee the three-pronged wrench designed to install it. It's an under $10 item most places.

Try putting a bit of Locktite on male thread. Do not use the permanet type.
