M1 carbine stock for Deerfield carbine?

Hey guys

I just got a ruger Deerfield carbine ( I paid dearly for it) and I am curious if anybody has tried to fit an M1 carbine stock to one before? And if so how much modification was required?

Also I am hoping to change out the front sight to an M1 carbine front sight, I just dont know what the M1 carbine barrel diameter is VS the Deerfield.

I don't have anything to add, but it's funny you posted this. I was thinking the same thing about adapting a Mini-14 stock to my Deerfield, but the more I compared them, the whole gas block arrangement on the Mini-14 makes it unworkable on the Deerfield, not to mention the trigger group differences.

Definitely has an M1 Carbine vibe to it though.
