M1 cartridge belt

Hey guys, I'm looking for a cartridge belt for my M1. It can be the old us army style or something of a newer design. Does anyone know who sells one and, that is good quality. Also how do you guys carry your 30 06?

The one's on EBAY are tricky. Some of the repro's go for more then the original's.

The ones from At The Front are very high quality repoductions that I can recommend, identical to the originals and still made by hand in the USA

Most of 'em are repros now. They're ok. Especially as real ammo belts are very pricey collector grade stuff.
Where you are makes a bit of difference. M1 Rifle stuff can be found at gun shows. Not much help if there are no shows where you are.
M1 clips carry well in a pocket. The belts hold 10 such clips. Heavy and kind of daft to lug around.
E-Bay funds the people who want to take your firearms away from you.

I got my Garand ammo belt from Marstar a while back and I found it to be of very good quality....

Stealth and sunray are both right. A cheap repro will always be a cheap repro no matter how much you pay. Having owned both originals and repros, I would suggest that if you have put out the money for a Garand (seeings there are no cheap knock-off Garands) you might as well save your cash and buy the real thing.

I bought a repro off eBay. Works fine in new condition so it will last too and well built.

Just be careful with buying originals, it can become additive. I only have a dozen or so different Garand and Springfield belts. My favorite one being a 9 pocket Springfield belt with a 1911 mag pouch on the left front side.
