Good afternoon all,

I'm new to this website and I'm hoping I can get some input from you all. Does anyone know where the best place is in Calgary, AB to get an adjustable gas plug for my M1 Garand? I really am having a hard time finding one in the Calgary Area. Have you had luck with any reputable suppliers on the interweb?

Thanks in Advance,

Nathan.

Adjustable? That's the first time I've heard of one, and I've owned a Garand since 1977. :)

Def not GI, must be a civilian after market thing.

I guess I should get out more.

Yeah they are really nifty. they allow the user to inset an Allen key and adjust how much gas gets exhausted. so if you had a round that was a little hard on the gas system, you can divert that gas to avoid damage. in my case, I want to adjust it to I have to cycle the action manually to eject the brass. I reload and don't want them flying everywhere. looks like this:

The GarandGear plug isn't one of the adjustable ones, it just provides more volume for the gas to expand to. Unless things have changed since last year, they don't ship to Canada.

I have a Schuster adjustable, which I got from Creedmoor Sports, who do ship to Canada. Shipping is expensive though, buy more than just the plug to make the shipping worth it.
