Hello All,

I have a M1 Garand in the states that I want to import, but I need to know its barrel length, or at least a very good guess that can be corrected by a mm or two by the verifier. It is a Winchester, and the S/N is 232###x.

Maybe it's easy and they're all the same, so could someone could just look at their registration card and post a reply - THANKS!

Also, and easy one. I have a gunsmith'd 10/22 that I'd also like to bring up, but it has a short US-legal barrel, but I'm not sure if it above the Canadian minimum length, because I can't remember it... What is the minimum barrel-length for non-restricted rifles?

Again, THANKS!

Sean

M1 barrel is 24".......you will probably find a cheaper one in Canada though. M1's are highly collected down there and being a US issued firearm, command a premium.
There is no minimum barrel length for rimfire rifle (for centerfire semi auto it's 18.5"), but the OAL of the rifle must be 26" for it to remain non-restricted.

The standard barrel length is 24". 609.60 millimeters. I suspect you'll need the U.S. export permit even though you own them already. See the postings about importing from the U.S.
