Hey guys I recently purchased a m1 garand, it's in need of a barrel replacement, can some one recommend a Smith who is familiar with the m1 garand? Also where would be the best place to source a replacement barrel?
any help would be greatly appreciated!
 
Tradeex (site sponsor) has Garand barrels in either .308 or the original 30-06.

30-06 looks out-of-stock though...

Lots of local CGNners (or Tactical Teacher in Barrie) can do a barrel swap - simple process with a vice block and wrench, some anti-seize compound and headspace gauges.

Vulcan Gun Refinishing, he does this in his sleep.
 
TradeEx appears to be out of stock for both .30-06 and .308 barrels. Marstar lists .30-06 barrels@$325.
