M1 Garand in Canada, BC?

Hi im new. I'm waiting for my pal (4 months in :mad:) and I want to get an m1 garand when(if) I receive it. I cant really find any m1 garands around the internet available in Canada.. Anyone know where to possibly get one in BC? Im in the Vancouver area.
 
Like he said. EE is your best bet. Thats where my m1 came from. If you dont like whats avalable there are people on there who will build you a rifle just how you want
 
M1 Rifles are around, but you have to hunt 'em done these days. Lots of 'em are over priced junk too. You can expect to pay in the neighbourhood of a grand or more for one in decent condition.
Just as many sellers are asking that kind of money for junk, so you really need to learn about 'em first.
 
I would buy them in the US and import them thru IRG.com, People want retarded amounts of money up here for them.

No better down there, especially with exchange and $250 in fees and shipping... The only ones cheaper are the CMP when available, and they're banned from leaving the States.

OP: EE is the only choice... They've not been on store shelves in years...
 
As said - the EE is your best bet.

I passed on a "3-pack" from Lever for $500 15 years ago, bought one 10 years ago for $450, and one seven years ago for $650, and the going price now seems to be ~$1200.

The "Korean" stash seems to be destined for the scrap yard, so I don't expect the price to drop.
 
OP: PM billybob... He's in the Fraser Valley and often has great Garands. He works up hand loads specific to each rifle and gives you the recipe along with test targets...
 
Then call the CFO and ask them.it may have fallen through the cracks.
But remember ask NICELY--being a D.B. will not help...
