Is there a source in Canada for new M1 Garand spring sets ? Also is there a specific 308 M1 Garand ejector spring ? Thank you

I use the 3006 and 2/3 coil cut 3006 military op rod spring on 7.62x51
I would think that the ejector spring would have to be as issued because of the heavy design
Could be wrong

If you have a 24 inch barrel, use the standard Garand op rod spring; min/max 19.75 inches/20.25 inches. If you have one of the Tipo 2 7.62 Garands with the .5 inch shorter barrel, shorten the op rod spring to 19.25 inches. The standard ejector springs work fine. If the brass flies too far away, remove a coil from the ejector spring.

Both Numrich/GPC and Brownells sell new springs.

Wolff op rod springs for the Garand are too long. I shortened the last one by 2 inches to get proper functioning.

Op rod springs should be lightly lubed with grease (just run it thru your greasy fingers).;) Also, check and clean the interior of the op rod tube. They can accumulate rust and crud.
