M1 Garand with rear site ...

I saw a M1 Garand with a rear peep site that was tubular somewhere ... not just the round site ... or was I seeing things?

Yes I have one. It's great to aim with.

Yep, a NM aperture hood. It doesn't make much difference if your rifle doesn't have the NM aperture too. You really should have the NM front sight too. It's 10 thou thinner than the standard front sight. Together, they give you a finer sight picture and much finer sight adjustments.
